Appointments are not required, but highly suggested for a more personalized service.
Typically from beginning to end, you can expect a custom ring to take 4-6 weeks depending on complexity. Additionally, if multiple subsequent changes are made to the original design, it can slow down this process.
No worries! We’ve got you covered with in-stock pieces that can be sized in just a few days, or even ‘stand-in’ rings for your proposal. We understand this is a large purchase, and you want it to be just right. Come back in and shop together when you’re ready!
Jewelry
We recommend taking off all jewelry before going to sleep. Set it in your jewelry box or other cute jewelry tray (link to our jewelry trays). Gold and other precious metals are really not meant to be worn in chlorinated pools and jacuzzi tubs. The harsh chemicals can eat away at the metal and weaken it. We recommend taking it off while swimming when possible. Diamonds naturally attract grease and oils! Yuk. Put your jewelry on after all makeup, lotions, and perfumes are applied. Finally, we never recommend wearing your jewelry to the gym or to lift other heavy items.
The best way to describe it is that they should fit just like Goldilocks' porridge: perfectly. Not too tight, not too loose. Our fingers change size all the time! They can swell in the heat, after eating salty foods, or during sleep and during exercise. They can also shrink quite a bit in the cold winter months. Generally, a ring should slide on without trouble and require a little wiggling to remove. Need help sizing your finger(s)? We'd be happy to assist you!
We recommend coming in at a minimum twice a year to have your ring professionally cleaned and inspected. We take this time to make sure all of your diamonds and gemstones aren’t loose or that other repairs are needed.
We can clean and inspect your jewelry while you wait. Have a glass of wine, take a browse and give us just a few minutes!
There is truly nothing more special than heirloom jewelry. It carries with it such love and memory. You have options. You can use diamonds and gemstones to create a completely new piece of jewelry, or re-design an existing one. Whatever you choose, we would be glad to help you! Gemologically speaking, lab grown diamonds are the same chemically, physically, and optically. The major difference between the two is where and how they are made. Natural diamonds form several miles beneath the earth’s crust over millions of years, under high pressure and temperature. They are mined from the earth. Lab grown diamonds are grown in controlled lab environments. With advancements in technology, man has been able to replicate the high pressure and temperatures needed for diamond creation in a lab. There is no visible difference between a lab grown diamond or a natural diamond (your friends will never know). Lab grown diamonds are significantly less expensive than natural diamonds and are also less harmful to the environment. While some have argued that lab grown diamonds do not retain value–we never recommend purchasing a diamond for its investment value (unless it is of large, or rare quality e.g. colored diamonds).
Diamonds are not economic choices, but rather statements of love and emotion. We suggest choosing what is best for your personal situation.
